Started 1994 to care for injured or orphaned native wildlife. Patients treated by trained professionals licensed by Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and federal government. Animals brought by game wardens, vets, police, marine patrol, and public. Located on 15 acres adjacent to Acadia National Park.

Private nonprofit. Manages 2,000+ patients annually - 190+ species of birds, reptiles, mammals. Serves New England region. Wildlife injured by vehicle collisions, domestic pets, pollution, fishing lines, oil spills, and other human-related causes. Provides medical treatment and rehabilitation with goal of release. Uses data collected to support systemic change.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) incorporated 1999 by Marc Payne and Diane Winn. Treats 3,000+ birds annually representing 100+ species. One of largest avian rehabilitation centers in New England. Approximately 34,000 birds from 100+ species have been treated. Care for wild birds that are orphaned, sick, injured with goal of releasing back to wild.
